Times Higher Education's 'World University Rankings' is one of the most recognized university rankings, which each year comes out with a new list of the best universities judged on several parameters. On this years list, DTU has gone from placing number 166 to being ranked as the 126th-best university in the world. At the same time, DTU has moved one position up in the Nordic region to seventh place and advanced 23 places in Europe, where DTU is now number 51. This year, the British ranking comprises 1,904 universities from 108 countries and regions, and their rankings are judged based on five main topics: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
