MANILA, Philippines — A now-weak southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, will continue to affect the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, the state weather bureau said Thursday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also indicated in a weather bulletin that cloudy skies prevail over the Sulu Sea, but it is not expected to develop into a low pressure area. 'Mahinang habagat o southwest monsoon ang nakakaka-apekto sa kanlurang bahagi ng Northern Luzon at Central Luzon,' said weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio during Pagasa early morning public forecast.
