Sophomore starting quarterback Luke Doty is questionable for South Carolina's Sept. 4 season opener against Eastern Illinois after spraining his foot during a drill in Friday's evening practice, coach Shane Beamer said Saturday.Doty's foot was stepped on during a red zone drill. He completed a touchdown run on the play but experienced pain after practice, Beamer said.'He got a ton of tests done this morning. Right now, it's a sprain in that foot,' Beamer said. 'Thank God it's not as serious as we first thought.
