Even though Bihar ranks third in terms of population in the country, Bihar ranks second after Uttar Pradesh in applying for government jobs. Recently, one crore 11 lakh applications were received from across the country for the RRB Grade D exam. In this, the number of applicants from Bihar was 19 lakh 50 thousand. At the same time, the number of applications from Uttar Pradesh was beyond 20 lakhs. One lakh three thousand posts are to be recruited in Group D. 15 lakh 65 thousand candidates from Bihar applied in RRB NTPC exam.
