While fans have been very eager to get their hands on what is now known as AEW Fight Forever, several hurdles and obstacles have delayed the game's overall development and eventual release date. AEW Fight Forever was internally expected to be released in September 2022 before the date was shifted to November. Despite Kenny Omega's hopes for the game to see a release date in 2022, the game eventually was moved into 2023 with a February release window.
