Minister for Police and Corrective Services and Minister for Fire and Emergency Services The Honourable Mark Ryan Queenslanders will today unite to pay tribute to firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. October 10 marks the annual day of commemoration for firefighters who risk their lives to protect life and property. This year, Firefighter Izabella (Izzy) Nash has been added to the Honour Roll, after passing away due to injuries sustained while fighting a fire at Slacks Creek on May 2, 2023.
