MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested a 41-year-old man and confiscated at least P23.4 million worth of suspected 'shabu' (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City early Saturday morning. The Southern Police District (SPD) said members of the Parañaque City Police Substation 4 and Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) carried out the operation in Brgy. San Dionisio and arrested Jonnie Romo, 41, at 2:50 a.m. It added that law enforcers seized from the suspect a total of eight knot-tied transparent plastic sachets containing suspected 'shabu' (crystal meth), two medium-sized plastic tea bags sealed with the label 'GUAR YUN WANG', one medium-sized transparent plastic sachet, genuine ₱1000 bills on top of 139 pieces of buy-bust cash, a blue-green eco bag, brown envelope, and a weighing scale.
