A woman has faced court following a pursuit in the Tamworth area yesterday. About 1am yesterday (Sunday 10 September 2023), officers attached to Oxley Police District attempted to stop a suspected stolen Nissan SUV travelling west on Petra Avenue, South Tamworth. When the driver allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated. A short time later, the vehicle stopped on Petra Avenue, and the driver allegedly ran to a nearby home where she was arrested. The vehicle was seized by police and will undergo forensic examination.
