Two men have been charged following an alleged carjacking at Maitland earlier this month. About 12.45pm on Tuesday 12 September 2023, police were called to an aquatic centre on Les Darcy Drive, Maitland, after reports of an alleged carjacking. On arrival, officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were told two women, aged in their 60s, were approached by two men before the men allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to the women. Officers established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
