A man has been charged following a pursuit on the Sydney's south yesterday. Just before 2pm (Tuesday 26 September 2023), police attached to Campbelltown Police Area Command attempted to stop a red van travelling through the Campbelltown area. The vehicle failed to stop, and officers lost sight of the vehicle. With assistance from PolAir, the vehicle was sighted within the Wollongong area where a short pursuit commenced, however was terminated due to safety reasons. A short time later, the van was located on Park Road, Helensburgh, having collided with several civilian and police vehicles before stopping.
