A driver was arrested after trying to evade police at Direk last night. About 11.30pm on Saturday 30 September, police were patrolling the Direk area and detected a speeding vehicle on West Avenue. PolAir was called in to track the silver Holden sedan as it continued to travel at speed into Salisbury North. It will be alleged the driver was driving dangerously, overtaking other vehicles and driving on the wrong side of the road without lights. The driver abandoned the car in Naperian Road, Salisbury North and ran off.
