According to the PCG, the motorized boat 'King Sto. Nino 7' carried 90 passengers and five crew when it left Calatrava port of Romblon at midday and had damage on its port side while in transit to Corcuera port. Eighty-nine passengers and all crew were rescued while one passenger died of cardiac arrest according to a physician in the area.
