MANILA, Philippines — The pilot run of the single-ticketing system will begin today, Tuesday, in seven cities in Metro Manila, allowing the standardized payment of traffic fines online without the confiscation of driver's licenses. To recall, the plan is to implement the ticketing system first in seven cities, specifically Manila, Quezon City, Parañaque, Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, and San Juan, before carrying it out to the rest of Metro Manila under the Metro Manila traffic code, to be be enforced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) together with the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
