MANILA, Philippines — The local government unit of Mandaluyong City on Friday will establish an office that will take charge of single parents' welfare. According to City Ordinance 941, a Solo Parents Office will be created in the city, which will be supervised by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The Solo Parents Office will be in charge of a database of single parents in the city, will assist them in receiving privileges, and report individuals or institutions that refuse to give benefits for single parents.
