MELAKA, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- The Melaka state government has expressed its gratitude after it was chosen as the host for the Malaysia Day celebration which will be observed on Sept 16. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali said it was the first time the Malaysia Day celebration will be held out outside Sabah and Sarawak. "We feel so lucky and proud as the state has been chosen as the venue of this year's Malaysia Day celebration which will be held on Sept 16,' he said in his speech for the launch of the National month celebrations and the state-level Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2022 campaign at Dataran Sejarah, Ayer Keroh here today.
