Tammy Beaumont has posted the highest international score in history by an English woman, leaving the sole Ashes Test firmly in the balance at Trent Bridge. England went to tea on day three at 6-428 on Saturday in reply to Australia's 473, with Beaumont on 195, having just created history by breaking Betty Snowball's mark of 189 from the 1935 Test against New Zealand. She became the first Englishwoman to score a double-century in Test cricket shortly after the resumption, reaching the milestone with a flick to fine-leg off Annabel Sutherland.
