Remember the confusion about two weeks ago over vog (volcanic smog, which hit Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas) and smog (which affected mainly Metro Manila)? People experienced similar symptoms, mainly respiratory, but it was only in places close enough to Taal where there was ash fall and people complained about a sulfuric smell. Those were apocalyptic days what with dark skies, dirty drizzling, and a mad jumble of malaise and symptoms affecting the eyes, nose, throat. Less than two weeks later, everyone seems to have forgotten what happened.
