Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged a man after an extended follow in Werribee overnight. Police attempted to intercept a Commodore station wagon, with no registration plates, in Point Cook just before 9pm. The vehicle didn't stop and was followed by Air Wing to Werribee. Enquiries made by detectives revealed the driver may have been in possession of a firearm and the Special Operations Group were called to assist. It's alleged the driver dumped the car in a shopping center car park on Heaths Road and took off on foot.
