FOLLOWING a fire incident in Gempesaw Street, Brgy. 28-C, City now logs 265 fire incidents from January to May 11, 2023. On May 11, 2023, at 6:40 pm, a fire broke out in Gempesaw Street which affected at least seven households, and damages are pegged at around P900,000. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said in an interview on May 11 that the recent fire incident was caused by an electrical ignition due to arcing. Electrical arcing, according to cloverelectric.com, is 'when electricity jumps from one connection to another, which can cause a fire in your home.
