KUALA LUMPUR: Voters' data from the Election Commission was clearly misused for the Skim Insurans Am Selangor (Insan), Malaysian Corruption Watch (MCW) president Jais Abdul Karim claimed. He said there was a possible breach of the law under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 when the information was used for commercial purposes. "A company was appointed as the implementation firm where Selangor MBI only holds a 49 per cent equity. "Therefore, the voters or people's data was channelled to a commercial entity which faces a potential commercial abuse," he said in a statement.
