Trowels and secateurs across the City of Ryde are poised ahead of the official opening of Council's much-loved Spring Garden Competition, which gives local green thumbs a chance to show off their amazing outdoor spaces. This annual event has been fuelling our gardeners' skills and creativity for more than 30 years and is one of the few council-run competitions of its kind still in existence. Entries are now open until 31 August 2023 in 10 categories that encourage participation from all members of community, showcasing gardens both big and small designed for personal relaxation, for the community, for attracting native animals, or even for eating.
