MELAKA: The Melaka government has issued a health alert over the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state. Melaka health, human resources and unity committee chairman Ngwe Hee Sem said one death was recorded this week and there were still four active education clusters. "The number of new cases from April 9 to 15 stood at 552 cases which or a 0.9% increase compared to 547 cases during the corresponding period last week. "Positive cases of Covid-19 this year have reached 147,156 cases and based on the seven-day moving average map, 79 cases of infections were recorded in a week while the recovery rate among patients registered 144,188 cases or 98.
