B.C. recorded 740 new cases and four additional deaths on Friday, marking the end of a month that has seen stubbornly high case counts and record hospitalizations. Out of 7,886 active cases, 511 people are in hospital, including 174 in intensive care, a slight dip from the record 178 set on Wednesday. The new cases were reported in Vancouver Coastal Health (163), Fraser Health (431), Island Health (32), Interior Health (92) and Northern Health (22).
