MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. was invited by envoys of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Dubai for the 2023 United Nations climate change conference in December 2023, according to Malacañang Palace on Wednesday. According to the Malacañang, UAE Ambassador H.E. Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi and the envoys extended the invitation on behalf of their government during a visit to Marcos on Tuesday, where they spoke about the Philippines' green projects. 'The UAE official also relayed the invitation for President Marcos to attend the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held in December this year at the Expo City in Dubai,' said the Palace in a statement.
