MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines made quick work of Macau in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Challenge Cup For Women, 25-14, 25-12, 25-9, in Indonesia on Monday. It only took the Philippines 63 minutes to secure its seat in the tournament's quarterfinals. The Philippine side dominated in the blocking department with 11 attacks off blocks compared to Macau's two. Coach Jorge Souza de Brito's wards were successful in 40 attacks, courtesy of core players Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, AC Miner and newly-minted Akari player Faith Nisperos.
