SHAH ALAM: The state government has no plans to declare Aug 12 as a special public holiday to facilitate voters, particularly workers, to visit polling stations for the state election. Caretaker Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the decision was made considering the financial implications associated with such a move. Amirudin, however, expressed confidence that voters had made necessary arrangements following prior announcements, from the dissolution of the state legislative assembly dissolution to nomination and polling days.
