Although the Northern Lakes League's alignment remains a work in progress — based on its membership's original stated aspiration of ultimately having two eight-team divisions — last week's announcement that Liberty-Benton High School will become the league's 12th member beginning in 2026-27 has allowed for a collective deep breath for all involved.
