The Butte College softball team's special season that brought its pitcher-catcher duo back for a third year due to the pandemic came to an end Friday, after the Roadrunners were eliminated from the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs in Bakersfield. The Roadrunners, the No. 2 seed from Northern California, lost 14-12 to the No. 3 seed from Northern California San Jose City College.
