VermontBiz The Vermont Beekeepers Association (VBA) recently launched a campaign to raise awareness of local honey and beekeeping, and to celebrate Vermont's bees.   The campaign includes tiny, colorful billboards featuring headlines that will engage everyone who loves Vermont honey, bees, and beekeepers. The bee-scale billboards have shown up where Vermonters, both human and bee, can be found—in parks, flowerbeds, farmers' markets, local shops and restaurants, libraries and other public places.

BETA Technologies opens electric aircraft production facility

Vermont Business Magazine  BETA Technologies, an electric aerospace company based in South Burlington, opened the doors on Monday to a large-scale production facility at the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) in Vermont, where it will manufacture and assemble its all-electric aircraft. Production has begun with the installation of assembly tooling and the initiation of various system production lines, marking a significant milestone along BETA's path to delivering its all-electric aircraft, the ALIA CTOL and the ALIA VTOL, to military and commercial customers.

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Global Exchange (VGE), a collaborative of 20 Vermont organizations engaged in international development work, is affiliated with the University of Vermont's Office of Engagement through a memorandum of understanding signed last year.  The next Vermont Global Exchange meeting on Thursday, October 19 at 5:30   p.m. at Waterman Memorial Lounge at the University of Vermont (85 S. Prospect St., Burlington) will bring the two communities together. The meeting, which discusses the theme 'Peace and Global Security,' is also free and open to the public with advance  registration .

Under Vermont law, many misdemeanors, 14 different felony offenses, and all dismissed charges can be expunged or sealed. The free clinic will focus on expunging and sealing criminal charges and convictions from Washington County and will be open to the public by appointment.

Vermont NRCS Announces FY24 Signup Date for AMA, CSP, EQIP and RCPP
USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Vermont is announcing Oct. 20, 2023  as the application deadline for Fiscal Year 2024 (Oct 1, 2023 - Sep 30, 2024) funding  for four programs: AMA helps agricultural producers manage financial risk through diversification, marketing or natural resource conservation practices. AMA is available in 16 states where participation in the Federal Crop Insurance Program is historically low: Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
