he 15-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh has been allegedly beaten ruthlessly by a teacher, died as a result CJP Team 29 Sep 2022 Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) have filed a complaint with the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC)seeking greater protection for the family of the 15-year-old Dalit boy, Nikhit Dohre from Uttar Pradesh who succumbed to his injuries after being allegedly thrashed mercilessly with sticks and rods, by an 'upper caste' teacher. CJP's complaint also seeks stringent action against the alleged perpetrator, who is still not behind the bars, fair investigation and monitoring of the prosecution.

Neha Khan 06 Sep 2022 New Delhi: BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a police complaint against fact checker and co-founder of Alt News website Mohammed Zubair, accusing him of 'spreading hate' against cricketer Arshdeep Singh and the Sikh community with his tweet. The player became a victim of vicious trolling on social media after he dropped a catch during India's five-wicket loss to arch-rival Pakistan in the Super four match of the Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday. In his complaint filed at the Parliament Street police station, Sirsa cited a tweet by Zubair where he had shared screenshots of tweets against Singh posted on various handles.

It was a loss that his Adivasi and non-Adivasi near and dear ones were simply not ready to accept. All had gathered in huge numbers, traveling overnight from far and near, Adivasis, among whom he had spent half a century.  Women wailed asking in unison, ‘Kumarbhau, parat ya (Brother Kumar, please come back). In that sea of tens of hundreds of humans, a  large section of women among them, only one or two were his direct blood relations.

The Supreme Court has sought comments from the Centre and the Assam government in response to the woman's petition.

CJP team found that in some villages in Dhubri, notices had also been served to people from indigenous communities CJP Team 25 Aug 2022 Residents of Assam's Dhubri district are suddenly inundated with notices telling them that as they are suspected foreigners, and that they must appear before the local foreigners' tribunal (FT) and defend their Indian citizenship. In some villages recipients also include people from indigenous communities. 'We have observed an increase in the number of notices served in four districts over the last two weeks.
