Sony has announced that two new partners have been added to its $100 million Global Social Justice Fund, started in June 2020 by Sony Group to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. As part of this initiative, it will now extend the PlayStation Career Pathways Program, first created in 2021, to scholarship programs by UNCF and USC Games so it reaches 'hundreds of Black and underrepresented students in the future.' Dataminers have unearthed even more evidence that Sony is working on its own PlayStation PC launcher of sorts. This development comes a day after Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered PC files confirmed yet again that Sony's toying with PSN account integration, allowing users to link their PSN ID to PC within first-party games that have been ported over to the platform. PlayStation Stars, the new loyalty program aimed at all PS5 and PS4 players, is launching in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand today, October 13. Sony hasn't told us exactly when the program will go live and it doesn't seem to be live yet in any of these regions. We're expecting a similar format to that of North and South America, though. Despite some roadblocks slowing down the Activision Blizzard merger, Microsoft acquisitions will continue. Arc System Works has revealed that the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive crossplay open beta will be free to everyone on PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam. As noted earlier this year in March this year, crossplay features were promised in Season 2 for the popular fighting game.
