Roy LeBlanc's son said this became his father's dream 66 years ago. Kenneth LeBlanc was four years old at the first Roy LeBlanc Invitational Rodeo. This event is part of his family's legacy. Kenneth's family helped start the Okmulgee Country Roundup club in 1956. Eventually his dad, Roy took over the rodeo and then Kenneth took over from his dad. Roy had big dreams for what the rodeo could be and worked hard to keep it going.

Monday, April 19th 2021, 9:19 amNEW YORK (AP) — Safety regulators warned people with kids and pets Saturday to immediately stop using a treadmill made by Peloton after one child died and others were injured.The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said children and at least one pet were pulled, pinned and entrapped under the rear roller of the Tread+ treadmill, leading to fractures, scrapes and the death of one child.The safety commission said in a news release and in emails that it knows of 39 'incidents' with the treadmill, involving 'multiple' or 'dozens' of children, but it did not specify a number of children.

They're calling on the city to follow suit. 'Some people think, ‘well white people need to pay reparations.' Friday, May 14th 2021, 1:21 pmThe Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it arrested a Blanchard man on child pornography charges.Chance Arlan Mason, 21, was apprehended Thursday with the help of the Grady County Sheriff's Office and the Chickasha Police Department.Mason has been charged with aggravated possession of child pornography in addition to a violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.The pursuit of Mason began back in January when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forward a cyber tip to the OSBI, which prompted the opening of an investigation by OSBI's Internet Crimes Against Children unit.

Tuesday, November 9th 2021, 11:13 amSince Monday, 265 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state, according to daily numbers released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.A total of 650,269 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, the state health department said on Tuesday. The provisional death count rose by 12 on Tuesday and now stands at 11,546 total.The seven-day rolling average for new cases reported was 591 cases, the state health department said.Currently, 5,186 Oklahomans are considered active cases in the state, OSDH said.
