In July 2020, Mbarara Municipality was elevated to city status together with nine other municipalities of Arua, Gulu, Jinja, Fort Portal, Masaka, Hoima, Mbale, Soroti, and Lira. However, the city has become a hub of sex workers, who station on streets, bars and in brothels, dressed in skimpy clothes to attract clients. Some sex workers have syndicate and connect to customers through managers and agents, while others directly approach their customers. Ms Anabella Mbabazi, a former employee at a hotel in Mbarara City, says an agent gets money from both the client and sex worker, adding that they get between Shs50,000 and Shs100,000 per day.

You need a working battery to start the hybrid car, which only switches to the ICE at certain speeds such as 40 km/hour or when the hybrid battery has low charge. Most hybrid cars give you three attempts to start the car when the battery is at its lowest. Ordinarily, the hybrid car battery does not completely run out as it is kept charged by the ICE or regenerative brake calipers as you drive.

Pallisa District is battling a fresh outbreak of scabies in villages adjacent to shores of Lake Lemwa. The disease, which manifests with severe itching, has left more than 250 people in Nsambya Village, Kasoda Sub-county, admitted. There are Acts which govern these entities and the boards are meant to derive their mandate from the well laid out guidelines within the legal frameworks that support their establishment.  Are boards often appropriately structured in regard to skills and competencies connected to the institutions that they supervise?  Due to the ever-broadening need for diversity, the structure of representation of these boards sometimes might be wanting.
