Strictly leaderboard live: Who is topping the leaderboard this week?
Strictly Come Dancing is back today and 14 couples will be taking to the dancefloor to be scored on their progress. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will award each couple marks out of 10, and by the end of the night, the contestants will be ranked from highest to lowest. Last week, Les Dennis ended up towards the bottom of the leaderboard and ended up being eliminated from the BBC competition. Now that the first exit has taken place, all the couples will be giving their all to fight for their place in the show.

Delta variant: ‘Early evidence' shows current vaccines ‘don't work as well against' strain
It comes as new data suggests people who have received the Pfizer jab have fewer antibodies targeting the Delta variant compared to other strains. The research, from the Francis Crick Institute and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) UCLH Biomedical Research Centre, supports reducing the gap between first and second doses. The data found that after just one dose of the Pfizer jab, recipients were less likely to develop antibody levels against the Delta variant, also known as the Indian strain, compared to those seen against the UK variant, now known as Alpha.

Solar Eclipse 2021 UK: What time is the solar eclipse on June 10? 'Mesmerising to behold'
It's time to dust off your eclipse glasses for Thursday's weird and wonderful "Ring of Fire" eclipse. The Moon will cross paths with the Sun early on June 10 and blot out all but a fiery sliver of the solar disc - a so-called annular eclipse. The Ring of Fire won't be visible here in the UK, as it will pass over Canada and Russia, but the good news is hopeful astronomers will still have a chance to see an equally exciting partial eclipse.Astronomer Tom Kerss wrote on the Stargazing London blog: "Every year, millions travel to witness total eclipses of the Sun, and tens of millions more have the opportunity to see partial phases over a much wider area.

Five Man City stars 'would not agree' to be used in player-plus-cash deal for Harry Kane
Manchester City officials are still pushing ahead with their efforts to sign Harry Kane this summer - despite Daniel Levy knocking back all their attempts for the Englishman so far. The Spurs and England captain has been subject to interest all summer - but the deal has been made harder by certain City players' reluctance to move to the London club.Kane, 28, has been Tottenham's prize asset ever since he burst onto the scene in 2014, scoring 166 goals in 242 games in the Premier League. However, his tenure at Spurs, whilst individually brilliant, has not been the most successful in terms of trophies - with the north London side not winning any silverware in his time at the club.

UK's biggest property sales boom in 10 years
As many as 704,000 houses, flats and bungalows went under the hammer in May - the highest number in a decade and 78 percent higher than the same month last year, say experts. Nicky Stevenson, managing director at national estate agent group Fine & Country, said: "This market is moving so fast that if you blink, it increases in value. The market normally has a lull in the summer months but, now that almost all foreign holidays appear to be off, there's nothing stopping the freight train that is unbridled demand from crashing through June, July and August.

'Ofcom's waiting in the wings' Andrew Neil attacks BBC after 11th-hour 'ambush' on GB News
One day before GB News launched, the BBC apparently tried to bar the new station from accessing footage of public events which is available via a 'pooling' system, run by the UK's three main broadcasters. Andrew Neil spoke about the events which supposedly took place during his 8pm show this evening and said 'Ofcom [were] waiting in the wings' to deal with the issue. Andrew explained to GB News viewers how 'some major news events allow access to only one TV camera'.As a result, 'news broadcasters take it, in turn, to decide' who attend and then the information and 'pictures are available to all broadcasters'.

'Why is it ok?' Sturgeon slammed for reopening Fanzone despite Covid lockdown delay
The SNP leader rejected several pleas from opposition MSPs to reconsider the restrictions on events for nursery leavers and said the Government's education advisory group has warned against them taking place. Following Ms Sturgeon's statement at Holyrood on the coronavirus restrictions, Scottish Labour leader, Anas Sarwar, the deputy leader, Jackie Baillie, and Scottish Conservative MSP, Meghan Gallacher, all challenged her about the issue. Speaking in Scottish Parliament, Mr Sarwar said: "Why is it OK to have 3,000 fans at a fan zone but parents can't a outdoor nursery graduation?"The First Minister said there are "rational reasons for what appears contradictory", in light of the Glasgow Euro 2020 fan zone being allowed to take place with thousands of fans but nurseries prevented from hosting events for leavers and their parents.
