There's a horsepower war raging and Mercedes-AMG has just reached for the nuke button, delivering an all-new 2024 C63 S with so much muscle it makes its BMW M3 rival look like its competing in an entirely different market. With the help of hybrid assistance the latest C63 S produces 671 hp (680 PS), which is a staggering 167 hp (170 PS) more than what the M3 Competition makes. It's the same story with torque: 752 lb-ft (1,020 Nm) plays 479 lb-ft (650 Nm). It's hard to see how the M3 has a hope of catching up until BMW launches an all-new car in several years' time.

The United States will look into how the Inflation Reduction Act will impact South Korean car manufacturers by making their EVs no longer eligible for federal tax credits. South Korea's national security advisor Kim Sung-han confirmed the move during recent talks with U.S. officials in Honolulu, Hawaii, including national security advisor Jake Sullivan. '(Sullivan) said (the US) will take a detailed look at how the EV subsidy issue will pan out going forward, and what impact it will have,' Kim Sung-han told the Yonhap news agency.

The MG4 EV was introduced last month and now the company has announced pricing will start at £25,995. The entry-level MG4 EV SE Standard Range features a 51 kWh battery pack that provides 218 miles (351 km) of range in the WLTP cycle. It powers a rear-mounted electric motor developing 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque.  This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 7.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h). In terms of equipment, the hatchback will have LED lighting units and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The value of the first-gen Honda NXS in the used car market keeps on rising, but there is a chance of getting a cut-price offer, as long as you don't mind the extensive visual modifications by Japanese tuner VeilSide. The pictured NSX with the rather unusual bodykit is listed for sale in Sweden for kr 650,000 ($58,773), while the initial price was kr 699,000 ($63,201). The vehicle is offered by Stockholm-based car dealer Custom Car Sthlm AB. According to the listing on Blocket, it is based on a pre-facelifted NSX from 1991 that has only traveled 12,780 km (7,941 miles) since it left the dealership.

During Dodge Speed Week, the company showed a body-in-white Challenger for a remarkably low price of $7,995. However, before the cover was taken off, it looked like a lifted Challenger and this sparked jokes about a Challenger TRX from the peanut gallery. Subaru has teased a new crossover, ahead of its debut in Japan on September 15th. Boasting a dreadful resolution of 480p, the teaser video doesn't reveal much but it gives us a glimpse of slender headlights with prominent LEDs. We can also see C-shaped taillights, fender flares, and an upward sweeping beltline. They're joined by a single bar grille, circular fog lights, and a relatively short rear end. A staggering collection of classic JDM cars will soon come up for sale through Bring a Trailer and are bound to cause a bit of a bidding war. The collection of 11 vehicles has been curated by The Cultivated Collector, a dealership based in New Canaan, Connecticut, and spans models from 1990 through to 1996. Kicking off the collection is a 1990 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R that is number 13 of just 21 made and was formerly owned by the chief executive of Nismo. It has been driven just 4,700 kms (2,920 miles).

While the EV transition might actually be taking place slower than it seems, manufacturers around the globe are setting big goals. Tesla started that trend, and now, as many question whether or not the Texas-based company can keep its lead, it's setting big goals for the near and long term, the first of which is to have a 2 million car production rate by the end of this year. Customers seeking an affordable sedan are faced with a dwindling list of choices, but the 2023 Kia Forte stands out as the model starts at $19,490. Costing $400 more than last year's model, the 2023 Forte is largely unchanged as the sedan received a facelift last fall. Running from the police is never a good idea and that's especially true if your driving skills leave something to be desired. That's the case with this video making the rounds on social media as you can see a Dodge Challenger sitting on the shoulder after being pulled over by police. While details about the incident aren't immediately clear, it looks like the driver decided to make a run for it. As you can see, they floor it and the car's rear end briefly kicks out. Given how few options Tesla offers for their vehicles, some owners will go to great lengths to get theirs to stand out from the pack. Quite possibly the most unique example we've seen of this is this Model S, which features the front end of a Lamborghini Huracan. Images shared to Reddit's r/WeirdWheels show an all-black Model S with the front bumper from a Huracan, and we have to admit it looks a lot better than we would have expected. In addition to the bumper, the headlights also have a different shape and bulb pattern than the normal ones, which suggests they may be emulating the Lamborghini as well.

A TikToker going by the handle srt_ray6.4 recently posted video footage of an interaction he had with a police officer who claimed that the exhaust on his Dodge Challenger Hellcat was not in line with state regulations relating to decibel levels, despite the car allegedly being stock. In two videos, compiled by YouTuber SoCal Super, interactions with two police officers relating to the same citation can be seen. Although the circumstances of the stop are not clear, the first video shows a police officer stating the vehicle's red key, which unlocks a Challenger or Charger Hellcat‘s full complement of 707 hp (527 kW/717 PS), is not appropriate for the road.

More than half a century after they pounded an oval in anger, the Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are still the most recognizable of all NASCAR machines. The Rivian R1T is a special truck for a number of reasons. It was the first all-electric production pickup, it also happens to be incredibly fast, and we've even seen it go way off-road without any trouble. One owner in Idaho decided that he'd test out just how good it is at wading deep water by launching his boat from the beach. It passed with flying colors. 'Once I knew the R1T maximum water fording height was over 43 inches, I was instantly curious whether I could launch my boat in Bear Lake Idaho,' says the owner of the YouTube channel Rivvit.

GAC presented the second generation of the M8, a full-size minivan for the Chinese market set to rival the Buick GL8. The model is focused on luxury, tech, and space, offered with petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Predictably, the production-ready GAC M8 doesn't look nearly as futuristic as the New Space minivan concept from a few months ago, but it does look more upmarket than its predecessor. The U.S. Department of Energy has released a full list of all the 2022 and early 2023 model year vehicles that may be eligible for tax credits after the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 was signed by President Joe Biden. Controversial changes made to the tax credit mean EVs and hybrids must now be made in North America to be eligible. A price cap of $80,000 has also been introduced and the income of a single buyer cannot exceed $150,000, and $300,000 for couples. Furthermore, the batteries of vehicles will need to have at least 40 per cent of their materials sourced from the U.

There's only a few days to go until Ford pulls back the covers on the 2024 Ford Mustang and we get to find exactly how it move the pony car game on, presuming it does at all. One of the ways we were expecting Ford to steal a march on its rivals is by offering hybrid drivetrains. Toyota has announced that the end is near for the FJ Cruiser in the Middle East, confirming that it will be discontinued in December 2022. But before that happens, Toyota will introduce a special Final Edition. The FJ Cruiser has been sold in the Middle East since 2007 and has continued to survive even after being pulled from all other markets. Just 1,000 examples of the Final Edition model will be produced, each differentiated from the standard model through a host of special touches. While we've yet to see photos of the 2023 FJ Cruiser Final Eddition, Toyota revealed that all 1,000 units will be finished in the same shade of beige and come complete with a blacked-out grille, bumpers, exterior wing mirrors, door handles, and spare tire cover.

Work continues on the facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 as spy photographers have caught the crossover and crossover coupe undergoing testing in Austria. Set to receive a relatively minor refreshening, the models have been equipped with a sportier front bumper that features more expressive intakes and cleaner lines. Volcon has announced all of its off-road utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) will be powered by GM electric propulsion systems. The companies didn't go into many specifics, but noted the recently introduced Stag UTV will use battery cell modules as well as a 'number of supporting components from GM.' This promises to provide the model with 'exceptional acceleration and speed recovery in a variety of terrains.' While a number of questions remain, GM's Vice President of EV Growth Operations, Travis Hester, said 'General Motors has transformed from an automaker to a platform innovator, with scalable architectures designed to accelerate EV adoption across different industries and product types.

Handing over the keys of your car to a valet always come with its risks, so much so that even I'd be hesitant to do it with my $10,000 Renault. In Monaco recently, the owner of a unique Ferrari LaFerrari discovered first-hand when can happen when things go wrong. This clip was filmed by YouTuber G-E Supercars and initially shows the valet (with his face blurred), parking the multi-million dollar hybrid hypercar on the side of the road and across a pedestrian crossing. Initially, it all seems fine and after sitting in the car for a while, the valet eventually jumps out from the car.
