Vice President Sara Duterte will be the government's caretaker while President Marcos is abroad, Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil said on Saturday. As officer in charge (OIC), Duterte will take care of the daily operations of the Office of the President and oversee the administration of the Executive Department. Duterte will be the OIC for about 10 days as the President, together with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, will fly to Washington on Sunday for a five-day official visit to the United States, his 10th official trip abroad since he assumed office on June 30 last year.
