MANILA -Billionaire Ramon Ang-led San Miguel Corp. (SMC)—the country's largest conglomerate by revenues and assets—said on Tuesday that net income during the first semester of 2023 jumped 18 percent to P23.3 billion. Total operating income expanded by 5 percent to nearly P70 billion versus the same period last year while consolidated revenues slipped by 4 percent to P685.2 billion on lower income from Petron Corp. 'We're greatly encouraged by the sustained growth we are seeing across most of our businesses,' Ang, the president of SMC, said in the statement.
