I refer to your editorial 'Running out of landfills' (7/16/23).I live in Baguio City. As your editorial stated it is expensive for local governments to transport their waste to landfills. For Baguio City, it is more so because it has to transport to other municipalities in other provinces and pay hefty fees. The Philippines is the only country in the world to ban incinerators since 1999. We have been conned to adopt this in order to save the environment while other countries were incinerating their waste.
