A man has been charged after another man was allegedly stabbed on the state's south coast overnight. About 6.50pm (Monday 9 October 2023), emergency services were called to Isabel Close, Nowra, following reports of a stabbing. On arrival, officers from South Coast Police District found a 32-year-old man suffering stab wounds to his torso. He was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was airlifted to St George Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Detectives established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
