MANILA, Philippines — The country's COVID-19 positivity rate further fell to 7.8 as of June 27, according to Octa Research fellow Guido David. In a series of Twitter posts, David's updates revealed that the rate has decreased for five consecutive days — from 8.6 percent last June 23 to 8.2 percent on June 24, 8.1 on June 25, 8.0 percent on Monday, and 7.8 percent on Tuesday. Citing from the Department of Health's (DOH) recent data, David reported on Tuesday night 297 new coronavirus infections nationwide, with 63 cases from the National Capital Region.
