IPOH (July 6): The Perak government has increased Malay reserve land by 2,409.28 hectares (ha), comprising government land with high value and with potential to be developed. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said with the additional area, there is now a total of 955,587.8 ha of Malay reserve land in the state. He said this decision was made at the state government executive council meeting (MMK) on Wednesday (July 5), as the state government's efforts to ensure that a rate of 50% of Malay Reserve Land in the state can be achieved.
