MANILA, Philippines — Warmer weather may prevail next week as the end of northeast monsoon or 'amihan' season nears, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). 'Nalalapit na po ang pagtatapos ng amihan season at maaaring sa susunod na linggo hanggang sa huling araw ng Marso ay magsimula na ‘yung warm and dry season or tag-init sa Pilipinas,' Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said. (The end of the northeast monsoon season is near, and by next week or the last days of March, the warm and dry season may begin in the country.
