The count of searches for AI jobs surged by 148.6% between March 2018 and March 2023, job portal, Indeed, said. Amongst the most significant growth in job postings over the last five years has been for research fellows, with an increase of 58.81%. This is followed by machine learning engineers (18.74%), data scientists (13.06%), and Software Engineers (5.11%).  'The job market has responded to the boom in interest in AI-related career prospects, as indicated by a 95% increase in job postings on Indeed's site during the same time period,' read the statement.
