MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) located 395 kilometers east northeast of Itbayat, Batanes is expected to dissolve within the next 24 to 48 hours, but the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, may continue to bring rains until tomorrow, the state weather bureau said on Thursday. 'Wala itong [LPA] direktang epekto sa ano mang bahagi ng ating bansa at inaasahan po natin na possible itong mag dissipate o malusaw within the next 24 to 48 hours,' Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo said in his advisory.
