Dr Liz Paratz has been announced as a World Heart Federation (WHF) 2023 Emerging Leader. Liz is one of 25 global candidates selected into the WHF Salim Yusef Emerging Leaders Programme, which was formed to develop a long-term cohort of experts who work together to reduce premature mortality from cardiovascular disease around the world. This year's cohort is made up of healthcare practitioners, researchers and global health advocates from 19 countries across five continents. Liz is a cardiologist and one of our postdocorate researchers whose primary area of research is sudden cardiac arrest.
