Popular camping spots on Queensland's island of K'gari have been closed as a result of recent dingo attacks. The Department of Environment and Science issued a notice saying it would temporarily close three camping areas due to the increasingly threatening dingo activity. The closure commences on August 17 and anyone with bookings for these areas will be refunded. The state government says anyone found to be feeding or disturbing dingoes anywhere on the island will receive an on-the-spot fine.
