Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a two-car collision which occurred in Oakleigh South this morning. Investigators have been told a Toyota and BMW collided on Warrigal Road near Claronga Street about 3.45am. The driver of the Toyota, perceived to be a man in his 20-30s, ran from the scene. The driver of the BMW, believed to be a man in his 40-50s, was trapped in his vehicle for a short time until he was released by emergency crews. He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
