LUCENA CITY — The primary suspect in the shooting of a police officer in Sariaya, Quezon was arrested Tuesday, police said. The Quezon police said Rolando Arañez, 57, was arrested at around 12 p.m. in his safe house in Barangay (village) Manggalang 1 in the said town. The police also recovered a caliber .45 pistol which he allegedly used in the shooting of Police Corporal Aldrick Leyola of the local police on April 6. Leyola and two other cops responded to the report that Arañez was firing indiscriminately in the said village.
