Rockhampton Regional Council is inviting the community to celebrate National Tree Day on Sunday 30 July, with a community tree planting event at Yeppen Lagoon. Water and Environmental Sustainability Councillor Donna Kirkland said Council is proud to once again be taking part in Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event. "National Tree Day is a huge event in the environmental calendar, and one our community looks forward to each year," Cr Kirkland said. "There is something special about these events and knowing that you're taking part in something that has so many direct benefits.
