Detectives from Murgon Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged a 29-year-old Gympie man and a 21-year-old Proston man following a year-long drug operation across the South Burnett. Operation DEBUG was launched in December last year to target the unlawful supply of dangerous drugs in the region. It will be alleged a 29-year-old Gympie man supplied small quantities of Methylamphetamine to 123 people in exchange for more than $76,000 between February 2022 and June 2023. He has been charged with 136 offences including trafficking dangerous drugs, supplying dangerous drugs, and receiving proceeds of trafficking dangerous drugs.
